Las Jarras de Esopo
(traducción de Juan y José Bergua)


Arrastraba la corriente de un río una jarra de cobre y otra de barro.

La de cobre le dijo a la de barro que no se inquietara, que ella la cuidaría, pero la de barro le respondió:


-Nada lejos de mí y no a mi lado, porque si me tocas saltaré en pedazos, aunque me roce contigo sin quererlo.

No es segura la vida de un pobre que tiene un príncipe rapaz por vecino.
